Battle of the Blades- Ryerson Newsbreak

As part of an assignment for the Ryerson School of Journalism, Sofia Vavaroutsos created a broadcast report in-studio. The assignment involved writing the broadcast script and delivering the news report. As well, Sofia acted as a floor director, teleprompter operator, and switchboard operator while other students were behind the news desk.

Dia De Los Muertos Festival- Broadcast

As an assignment for the Ryerson School of Journalism, Sofia Vavaroutsos covered the annual Dia De Los Muertos Festival at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre. The exercise in TV reporting involved a challenge to produce a broadcast report using nothing but an iPhone.
